431:1 what a score!

In this interesting blog I found a very smashing figure:

431:1

If this would be the final score of a soccer game, everybody might say:
"This was not fair play!"
"This was manipulated!"
or
"One of the antagonists was too weak!"

In fact all of the comments are right...

431-to-1: This is working pay ratio of US CEOs to average workers. It is an anomaly among industrialized nations, where a more typical ratio is 25-to-1. While CEOs continue to receive double-digit percentage raises year after year, workers barely keep pace with inflation.

How will this work out?

The extraordinary hight payments for CEOs in comparison the the work force is a shame.
For me, that means, that everybody on this world, employed or not could be at least be nourished and sheltered with a space to live. Even, if the difference is like 25:1 to the average workers wage, no one needed to be living at the border to poverty or in poverty.

May I ask some questions...?
  • The USA claim to be "Gods' own country". Why is it, that the social discrepancies in the economical areas are the worst in the world?
  • In Germany, 65% of all assets are in the hand of 5 % of the population. Why do governments all over the world constantly raise the tributes of their people this way, that the people of the lower social background have to pay the lion's share of it?
  • Why do the employed people endure these discrepancies?
  • Where is the conciousness of the CEOs being paid like that? How could they ever go to sleep at night, without being struck by nightmares of their inner guilt.
  • Why is poverty or the hard struggle for making a living so highly accepted in a world where it is obvious that there are enough monetary assets to feed all, build houses for all, let all be mobile and entertained...

I seems to me, that the song lyrics of Reinhard Mey are get more valid as time goes by:

"Der Minister nimmt flüsternd den Bischof am Arm: Halt du sie dumm! Ich halt' sie arm!"

Which means translated:

"The politician taps the bishop silently saying: You keep them stupid! I keep them poor!"

Why is it, that especially religions work so hard on the people to accept their social standards.
Even poverty seems to be glorified in some religions.
Religions should change social discrepancies not consolidate them.
They should work on the rich to reach their hands out and to share.
They should help the poor to get into better life tracks...

The social tensions will finally make religions redundant, when anarchy strikes the well set-up world of the CEOs and the better situated (As seen in France this year).

Just increase the number of security personnel or shooting the mob down is not the solution.

Are we aware of the fact that as soon as social stability is disrupted all monetary values can fade away in a glimpse. Politicians should work hard on letting the lower social levels gain a better living. What if those peole are not willing to accept this status quo anymore. The high crime rate in the US or the France-riots are an opener to what we have to expect in the future as main course...

Wake up!

We're waiting for a change!
