Climatic thoughts

A question strikes me this morning...:

Climate is going nuts on earth...
The global change of weather occurences makes me reflective.

Personally, I find it pure ignorance of the US government to preserve the right for energy waste in the US. The battlefield in Irak, that was opened for oil, has several negative impacts to our world. Despite the fact, that this war has severely decreased any positive regard to the western world in arbic countries, it also had very negative economical side effects. many countries in the world now have to struggle because of the risen petrol prices, that do not seem to have any other reason than speculative interest. This war was only fought, because the US try to preserve their energy resources and (most disturbing) do not want to start thinking about energy efficiency. (Give me other reasons for that war...I am still waiting...)

But who am I talking about? Is it all of the US? I have to lament about the destiny of thousands of victims of hurricanes, bush fires or heavy rain (like in california now...). It is not only the the poll of deaths that concern me (which is the worst of all), it is also the existence possibilities that are lost: House damage, loss of property and assets. I personally think, that the weirdness of the weather will severely increase. Where are the politicians that will react on what is to be seen in the world. Why does it seem, that only econmical interest of a few global playing companies rules political decisions. Those companies have to realize, if the climate destroys lives and the economical possibilities, where will they (and us) be...(just think of New Orleans)?

But it is like always: The rulers seem to be blind for what is happening...
They live nice and safe in their ivory towers and when they are gone we shall remember them as "great characters" that did the "outmost for their country"...

Darn,... who still believes this shit?

But who are the suffering?
The "small" people that try to live their average lives will be the ones that have the trouble when struck by climate desaster or poverty...

So, it is you and me...not George Doublejoo (e.g.)...

Remember this when having to vote next time or take other major decisions towards politics...
